Song Chen, Ph.D.

Song is a motivated and versatile researcher with wide experience in tumor immunology, chemokine biology, and cell migration. Before joining Volastra, he did a short-term postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital and studied the role of chemokines and their receptors in the trafficking and function of T lymphocytes during the immune checkpoint blockade therapy. Song received his Ph.D. in pharmacology from the University of Michigan and his Ph.D. research aimed to understand how the topographic cues present in the extracellular matrix regulate cancer invasion and metastasis.
