Rick Tourdot, Ph.D.

Rick is an interdisciplinary researcher with experience developing and employing computational models to answer complex biological questions.  Prior to joining Volastra, Rick was a postdoctoral fellow at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute where he studied the mechanisms governing cancer genome evolution. This included developing methods to reconstruct the complex genome structures found in many cancer cells. He earned a Ph.D. in chemical and biomolecular engineering from Penn working in Ravi Radhakrishnan’s lab, where he studied cell membrane tension and its relation to oncogenesis.
